UPMARKET pub, FC Lounge that opened its doors in Mutare last year at Courtauld Theatre will tomorrow (Saturday) celebrate its first anniversary in style.
FC Lounge spokesperson, Faith Masiya, said their patrons are in for a treat with a small feast in the evening to thank their patrons for the tremendous support since their inception. FC Lounge renovated the theatre bar to give it a Midas’ Touch characterized with a relaxing, fun feel environment which saw it grow its popularity among upmarket boozers who had been looking for a decent pub in the Central Business District, ever since the closure of Bulldogs Pub at the Miekles building.
“When we opened we wanted to stand up to the challenge of organising a high-standard social drinking sport suitable for all from the young to the old. We are very humbled by the support we got and we promise to continue with our strong focus on quality service and create a real point of difference for our patrons. The small feast will be our way of saying thank you to our loyal patrons,” said Masiya.
Courtauld Theatre which is currently in the process of reviving its theatre club facilities had become an eyesore, with little activity going on. However, better days are to be seen at the theatre promised Masiya. The joint is now home to pool and darts games which are proving to be very popular with the patrons.
She said despite the economic challenges bedeviling the economy, they saw it fit to thank those who have been standing with them through thick and thin. “Yes, we are cognizant of the fact that the economic woes are affecting everyone, but we want to salute the men and women who have stood with us in these trying times. Without their support, we could not have reached this milestone. This is just a start of big things to come. We promise more fireworks as we enter our second year in this cut throat business. As you can witness, FC Lounge is associated with smartness and we will not relent in this regard. Expect nothing, but the best from the best in this line of business,” summed up Masiya.
