AS Zimbabwe celebrates its 43rd Independence Day commemorations today (Tuesday), Easterntimeszim has decided to test just how much Zimbabweans know their history. The photograph above was taken during the height of Chimurenga liberation war. The only clue we will give is that all of the gallant heroes in the photo are now late.
Who can name them all and their liberation war pseudonyms?
This year’s national commemorations currently underway are being held at Mt Darwin High School Grounds in Mashonaland Central. The celebrations are running under the theme, ” Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo.” This is the first national independence celebrations to be held in a rural province. Provincial and district celebrations are running concurrently countrywide.
