The Holiday Inn Mutare Foresters Arms bar will be livened up following the series of promotions lined up to turn it into a social entertainment hub.

HOLIDAY Inn Mutare will tonight (Friday) officially launch its series of beer and whiskey promotions in its Foresters Arms Bar, with intent to liven up activities in the upmarket bar turning it into a social and entertainment hub.

The invigorating locally based mbira ensemble Ntswai Ntswai under the tutelage of its veteran leader Lino Piloto will launch the promotions festivity tonight performing from 7pm till late.
Holiday Inn Mutare food and beverages manager who recently got promoted to deputy general manager Phylis Sambo said their promotions were meant to give locals options for quality entertainment. She said they have the best central location in the city and want to make use of their exquisite bar especially for their high-class patrons often starved of entertainment.

“We will be having a Castle Larger Happy Hour promotion everyday between 7 pm and 8 pm in our Foresters Arms Bar selling the beer at $2 bond notes. Those that love whiskey, can also brace for the Whisky Wednesdays and Whisky Weekends from Friday to Sunday. We will have the Glenmorangie single malt scotch whisky on promotion throughout the day. On all these promotion days we will also have complimentary snacks available. We are in the business of happy and want to transform our bar into a social and entertainment hub, so come and unwind at our bar,” said Sambo.

Sambo added that through these promotions she will also open up to local performing artists in the city giving them a platform to market themselves.
Holiday Inn Mutare which is under African Sun (Pvt) Ltd in January won its bid for land to extend the hotel across the existing car park which is adjacent to the hotel.In its application to Mutare City Council African Sun (Pvt) Ltd cited that it wanted to increase its occupancy at Holiday Inn Mutare from 96 rooms to 150 rooms and build bigger conference rooms to boost its Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) market.
Operating under the Inter-Continental Hotels Group (IHG), one of the leading global hotel companies, Holiday Inn Mutare was re-launched on 1 July 2017 from Amber Hotel. This increased the number of Holiday Inns managed by African Sun (Pvt) Ltd in Zimbabwe to three — Holiday Inn Bulawayo, Holiday Inn Harare and Holiday Inn Mutare.
