VUMBA Gateway Garden will be lit today (Saturday) with top biller musicians and DJs billed to perform at renowned Mutare DJ Cesh’s birthday bash.
This will definitely be the first top biller show of the year in the eastern border city. DJ Cesh whose real name is Blessing Chindotana confirmed the show to Easterntimeszim and said the show is is being organized by Barcode Outside Experience (BOE). The show starts at 3pm.
The Dangamvura born and bred duo, Diamond Boyz, DBoi real name Desmond Gopo and Sparxx real name Dereck Gopo of the 2014 hit song ‘Energy’ are expected to bring their A game in their hometown whilst Saint Floew of the 2022 hit song ‘Silas Mavende’ will also be another headline attraction.
The highly entertaining band, Shabach the band, that plays copy rights music will also be part of the entertainment as well as budding musicians Edge Sparter and CM 10. On the decks there will be a guest DJ Blavck China from South Africa. This will be her first show in Zimbabwe.
“As BOE we started in September. The concept is to promote entertainment in Mutare. Already Barcode has proved to be premium upmarket nightclub in Mutare, but we want to expand our brand by being a club on wheels and organize other shows elsewhere and Gateway Gardens in Vumba has been our other spot so far, but we intend to go out in other districts in the province,” said DJ Cesh.
DJ Cesh who has been a DJ for 14 years said he was honoured that fellow artistes came together to honour his birthday.
“I am really honoured that I will celebrate my birthday in style. However the Barcode Outside Experience movement is bigger than me. So this will be the first of many projects as we will be a link between the corporate world and artistes, organising big shows in Manicaland. We want to host international artistes here and also promote local talent,” said DJ Cesh.
There will be a DJ fusion by Shabach the band where they will perform live copyright songs selected impromptu by DJs. The band that originated from Mutare but is now based in Harare is fast becoming popular after gaining fame in 2021 during the covid-19 lockdown period as the main band that played for many diverse musicians on NashTV.
Vumba Gateway Gardens is situated about 10km outside Mutare along the Vumba road.
