The venue is set, the vibe is incredible and tickets are selling like hot cakes says the promoter of the the Mutare Winky-D show at Manicaland Motoring Club set for tonight (Saturday).

It will be yet another litmus test for the renowned Harare based music promoter Patson ‘Chipaz’ Chimbodza who will be out to break his own highest crowd attendance record at Manicaland Motoring Club of over 5000 revellers.

“The weather has cleared fortunately and tickets are selling fast. As usual we have made necessary arrangements to ensure revellers enjoy and have the best service,” said Chipaz.

The multi-award winning sensation Winky-D, whose real name is Wallace Chirumiko last performed at Motoring in May 2024 after a long time then. So it will be another date after two years.

His manager Jonathan ‘Elder’ Banda today confirmed that it will be fireworks as Winky-D reconnects with his Manicaland fans.

“I will gaurantee fans of a special night. He will as usual bring his A-game for Manicaland. We love Mutare. From the beginning of his career Mutare always showed love and we appreciate that,” said Banda.

In 2024 when Winky-D performed at Manicland Motoring Club, it was his first show there and his first non-corporate banked public concert in Mutare in seven years. Over the years he had been coming to Mutare to do cameo appearances at corporate sponsored shows.

His fans will also be eager to see what sort of attire he will come wearing as the Gafa is known to usually dress up in some interesting costumes at his shows. Fans will be keen to hear some yesteryear hits such as Disappear, Finhu Finhu, Ijipita, Extraterrestrial to mention a few. The state of the art stage set up for the show which is of world class standards shows that the entertainment promoter means business. Security barricades for the different sections for standard, VIP and VVIP are already being put up.
