Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) Manicaland and Chiredzi regional manageress, Perpetua Guwila passed on early this morning (Wednesday), Easterntimeszim has learnt.

According to a family member, the late Guwila (53), arrived from China on Sunday morning where she had gone for a ZNCC business trip. She collapsed upon arrival at the airport and was rushed to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals. Unfortunately she passed on during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The cause of death could not be confirmed by time of going to press. Burial arrangements are still being organized but the body of the deceased is expected to arrive in Mutare tomorrow (Thursday).

ZNCC is the country’s business chamber and leading voice for business. Guwila joined the chamber in 2000 and ran the Manicaland and Chiredzi region for over 20 years. Before, she briefly worked at the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Cooperation (ZBC) as a journalist before crossing over to public relations at ZNCC. Over the year’s she organized the country’s leading annual business honorary awards at provincial level and other high level business symposiums in Manicaland.

She is survived by her daughter Tiffany.
